Indian Operation

Infinium has a license from Department of Telecommunication (DOT) for “Shared Hub VSAT Services” and is strategically positioned to offer Internet Services by the virtue of a Category-A (Pan India) Internet Service Provider (ISP) license. Infinium has the experience of offering broadband e-connectivity solutions for more than six years and has been successfully working with corporate customers, renowned institutions, government and non-government Organizations.

Proven Technology & Network Infrastructure

Infinium encourages and has existing partnerships, tie-ups and strategic alliances with reputed companies not only in India but globally as well. Infinium has created ground segment infrastructure in the western part of India which consists of completely redundant (1+1 configuration), Ex. C band (9.3 M, 700W), C band (7.2M, 400W) and Ku band (8.1M, 400W) Hubs and Gateways. The technology used is primarily “Open Standard” DVB-RCS, SCPC-DAMA (mesh) and SCPC-DAMA/TDM (star). It is also planning to put up several other Hubs/Teleports/Gateways in India subject to licensing approvals.

Infinium is a proud recipient of commendation from ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) for successful implementation of pan-India “Telemedicine Network” and also for the “Edusat project” connecting hundreds of educational institutes across India. The same technology is being used by Infinium for its own Hub and Teleports.

Infinium believes in blending & customizing software, applications & connectivity for optimum use of bandwidth thereby facilitating reduction of “cost” for customers.

Initiative beyond India

Infinium had been jointly involved in a venture to manufacture state of the art VSATs in Montreal, Canada. These VSATs use SCPC-DAMA (full Mesh) and TDM/SCPC-DAMA (Star) technology.

Infinium also has a joint Venture with Advantech Satnet – Canada, to promote “Open Standard” DVB-RCS technology based VSATs in India and for manufacturing & assembly of DVB-RCS VSATs.

Infinium has capabilities of designing & delivering connectivity solutions from the concept stage to completion and commissioning of the projects.

Infinium’s business is divided in to 4 groups.

The above grouping helps in better coordination with customers. Depending on the requirement for any specific projects, a special project team is put in place to arrive at customized design and solutions, drawing from the experience of each group.

Technology & Infrastructure

This group gets involved in setting up the network on turn key basis, right from designing to commissioning the setup. Usually such projects involve finances, complex procedures and sometimes approvals from various regulatory authorities. Infinium has been commended by ISRO, Government of India (GOI) and various other organizations for meticulous implementation of projects such as Edusat and Telemedicine. Turnkey resposibility include hardware, peripherals, antenna assembly and routers required to maintain continuous connectivity of the networks under AMC. Usually, large projects are implemented as a pilot project which is then scaled up.

Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)

AMC is a natural offshoot of the turnkey projects. However, there are clients who have opted for availing only AMC services, primarily due to Infinium’s capabilities, open standard platform allowing flexibility, business philosophy of helping clients to extract maximum benefits from their existing WAN and other networks and the agility with which results are delivered.

Infinium has grouped various connectivity solutions under the Sat@Infinium Bouquet – offering esteemed clients various options to choose from. The solutions have been branded to reflect the end use applications for better understanding and differentiations.
